A Houston area couple were taken aback by a super strange sight outside their home - a giant orange rectangle hovering silently in the sky, and eventually fading to black. The witnesses tried to find an explanation for the sight, and even drove toward it, but they have so far come up empty. Did you see this odd floating object? If so, report your sighting! In the meantime, here's the full witness report, kindly submitted to TUS by a reader: About 10pm Sunday evening September 8th my husband walked outside looked up into the sky and I heard him say "Am I seeing things?" I went outside as well and looked up and saw a perfect orange rectangle in the South sky. It was positioned as a door would be with the two long sides vertical and two shorter sides horizontal. It looked to be pretty high up in the sky and very large. The orange color was bright and would flicker slightly like a fire would. My husband and myself walked down the street Southward toward an empty field across from our property and as far as we could see directly above the tree line was this bright orange glow and ran the length of the treeline which had to be at least a mile or two long. We saw no smoke, smelled no smoke, nor did we hear fire trucks. It stayed in the sky in the same place for about 20-30 minutes before fading until all we saw was one vertical black line. I have looked online trying to find a reasonable explanation for this, was it a fire, explosion, something, anything but have come up with nothing. We also drove into the direction of where we saw this bright orange glow that appeared to be fire and have come up short there as well. Someone else had to have seen this as well but have found nothing there either. I tried to take a picture of it but it was too dark for it to come out. If anyone has an explanation for this anomaly please reply.

I saw the same thing along with 9 other witnesses standing next to me on October 8, 2008. I was really alarmed and could not sleep for two weeks. This sighting occurred at Willow Beach, which is about 50 miles north of Toronto, Ontario Canada

My wife and I witnessed what sounds like the same object back in july 1994 in Redford Mi, I had been out in my driveway using my telescope and invited her out to have a look when we noticed a orange object off in the distance to our south east. It traveled silently in our direction until it was almost directly over head. It was rectangular, orange, slightly brighter at its center and shimmered orange on each side. No navigation lights or trail. It did not travel length wise but more like airplane wings would look in the sky but was definitely not an airplane. Essentially a glowing orange rectangular block in the sky. It was a clear evening and we could see it plainly, the telescope was not used. It disappeared off to our North West. I have often wondered what it was and looked up what I could about it but as of yet nothing.

In 1980 I was hitch-hiking around Australia and spent a night camping on Cable/Ninety mile Beach on the Northwest coast. It was completely undeveloped in those days,both land and sea, with no hotels or habitation...just a vast empty beach. I got up around 1 am to relieve myself and saw a perfect orange rectangle glowing over the sea. It was bright but at the same time somehow did not give out light or illuminate anything other than itself. It looked large but I could not tell if it was near or far or get any sense of perspective. As I watched the ends slowly started to move in together and it disappeared. I was not under the influence of drink or drugs and I was not dreaming or hallucinating and I am not prone to sleep walking. I know I had seen something unusual/unnatural/undefinable and I felt fear as though I'd seen something I shouldn't have.

hey, i saw this on 2013, the flying orange ufo had this humanoid inside, but it talked me in the head so i can turn my head up and see it, like telepathic talking..i know it sounds nutts but it was amazing, i was shocked by fear though. i wish i knew what or who it was. a male voice in my head said "Sebastian look up the sky"but in clear spanish which is my first language.

I saw one of these just 2 weeks ago. It wasn't still though. Flew from the east horizon to the west horizon in the span of about 30 seconds. Flew directly over me, had strange designs in the center. It was huge. I live in spring tx, right next to an airport where planes are coming and going every couple minutes, but on this day no planes came or went for 3 hours. Glad I'm not the only one to see something like this.

On March 12, 2017 at about 8 or 9 pm. My friend and I saw the orange rectangle in the sky. It was there about 10 minutes. It looked as though there was smoke or clouds around it but it never covered the orange rectangle. When it disappeared, it looked as though it went through space showing vertical lines of air at 1 second intervals 5 times. Then it left an orange light residue behind which eventually disappeared.
