Since posting about this sighting, the witness has since followed up with more information: "...So that morning I was taking my daughter to school for volleyball practice. By the time I came back around they were gone. I do not know what they did or what their intentions were. I did not hear any sound nor the cattle but at the same time I had a 14 year old in the car with me and see was scared. Trust me if I had seen that without her, I would have followed it as long as I could..."
As well, I have received some online comments suggesting that these lights could be part of a blimp. Do you agree? Let me know in the comments! I couldn't find any archived Goodyear blimp schedules, or another news reports about one, but I don't see any reason on the surface to not consider that theory.
Cynthia Penny sent this footage to me along with the following testimony:
Started off looking like a line of lights when I first saw it over the highway. I pulled off to the side and watched it slowly pass then started shaping to a rectangle. I started recording right away. It was very quiet no sounds at all. On the video and picture I did try to change the lighting so I could get a good look at what the lights were attached to but it was took hard to see. I’ve attached a video, this was over a ranch full of cattle.
If the video is not appearing for you here, click **this link** to watch it.
This video is brief, but intriguing! I wish I could see a longer video, in order to find out if these lights faded away or continued to travel in a specific direction. Without more information, it's hard to rule out explanations like Chinese lanterns.
I'll be looking into this sighting more, but in the meantime, if you saw these mysterious lights as well, help solve this case, and report your sighting!
Ever since the Pentagon released the famed "Tic Tac" UFO video, people have reported seeing similarly strange things in the Texas sky. I believe they saw these "things" before - but just called them cigar or rod or disc-shaped. Regardless, check out the latest testimony, submitted to MUFON (case 121800):
Witnessed a ( TIC TAC) leaving a cloud..... 2 F-16's going in same direction.

"UFO was about 100 feet long and triangular in shape" - North Texas Sighting, Reported to Local Sheriff
A really incredible account of a triangle craft over a home in North Texas has been submitted to MUFON (case 121724). Although the event happened in the 90s, it was impactful enough for the witness to remember and want to share about a decade later.
According to the witness, they were trying to summon a UFO with their kids when the triangle UFO appeared. The witness reported the UFO to the local sheriff, but was advised to not talk about it:
UFO came down to just above my house

Well, it seems Twitter agrees...this was no UFO at all, but a solar balloon! (See photos below.) I think this is a very fair theory. However, the trouble is I can't 100% verify that there was a solar balloon in the area at the time. After all, it appears most solar balloons are toys and used for recreation, so there wouldn't be a way to track them. According to world-weather.info, it was sunny in Dallas with little to no wind, and so it is possible this large solar balloon could have been hovering for a while:

As of today, I am still looking into this case. In fact, I'd like to share a comment from a possible witness to ANOTHER UFO just like this one! Maybe it can shed some new light on everything... Richard P writes: "I got pictures only. I was a passenger in my work truck. I was able to shoot pic burst on my iPhone. I was at Spring Valley and Dallas North Tollway. I first noticed it driving east on 635. Once we exited onto the service road, it was still just sitting there. I watched but never saw it moving. We continued driving till i got close enough to photograph it a few seconds at the light at the Spring Valley light. The photo doesn't give it justice...I’m still baffled with lots of unanswered questions. I don't know of anything besides a helicopter that can just sit still in the sky."
Updated story October 2019:
TexasUFOSightings has received a new report of this strange hovering "black pipe" over Dallas! The second potential witness of this UFO just wrote in about what they saw, and they also claim to have video footage. I haven't seen the video yet, but I wanted to share the compelling report in the meantime: "On sept 27,2019 at 10:52 am I was driving north on the Dallas north tollway just south of the 635 interchange. I spotted in the air to my right a long black pipe in the air. the pipe was motionless. It is the same object that I saw reported on your site for the same day. I captured a brief video of the object on my cell phone."
A dark, rod-shaped object was photographed in the daytime sky over Dallas. According to the witness, who submitted a report to MUFON (case 103638), the UFO was totally stationary, ruling out a balloon:
Something just sitting in the sky
What do you think of this photo? Does it show a UFO? Or is it a misidentification (blimp, party balloon, weather balloon), or even a hoax? Or could this be a real unidentified flying object; other cigar UFOs have been reported in Texas this month, so perhaps it is all connected!
(Hey everyone - UFOJane here. I'll be visiting the location of this UFO sighting later this week, as part of the Edinburg UFO Festival. You can buy tickets to the event here. Or you can stay at home and follow along for coverage on Instagram and YouTube!)
Although no photos or videos were taken of the amazing encounter, eight witnesses in total lived to tell about it. In the fall of 1966, eight male construction workers were digging in a rural area north of Edinburgh, Texas when a UFO approached them. The men panicked and it's possible that they shot their guns up at the UFO. The mysterious craft then reportedly shot down beams of light onto their construction site, which subsequently caught on fire. The entire site, including two vehicles and a small mobile home or RV, was destroyed. Another local reported seeing a cigar-shaped UFO in the area around the same time, and so this may be the same UFO that caused all the destruction. Scroll down for photos, video and more about this incredible Texas UFO case:
The sheriff of Donna, Texas at the time (just 25 minutes from Edinburg) later shared that he had been approached by people dressed in military uniforms who asked about the UFO report. Sheriff E. E. Vickers believed the people were from the nearby Moore Air Base.
