"Small disc flying quietly with red dome on top" - 1960s Sighting of Flying Saucer Over New Braunfels Just Now Being Reported

A report of a dome-shaped object that flew close enough to the witness, that they thought they could touch it, has been submitted to MUFON (case 101965). Although the UFO sighting occurred all the way back in 1969, it is just now being reported. Could it be a misidentification, or perhaps even a hoax?

Was walking near a farm house in a field where several cows were grazing. A small disc with a red dome flew over the tall grasses and stopped in front of me. I stood for a few long seconds and then reached out to grab it. But, within less than one second it sped backwards and out of my reach.
