Star with a Mind of Its Own in Irving

11/12/2013

  • When: November 12th, 2013
  • Where: Irving (Dallas area)
  • What: Star-like object dancing around in sky

Someone spotted a bluish light hovering in the night sky, except then it started to dance around in the sky quite suspiciously. The witness kindly submitted their testimony to TUS, and speculates if this is the "new star everyone's talking about," which you can read more about here.

Here's the full report:
I seen a blueish and purplish light in the sky it was small and faint like a star but then started moving. This was last night, November 12, 2013 at 1:30 am.
It hovered in spots for durations of time and would move side to side or up and down and not in a normal manner.
is this the new star in the sky everyones talking about. I wondered was it a comet or meteor? Asteroid or debrid? After it moved for minutes and minutes I knew this was not the case and it is a spacecraft. Human or alien nobody knows.

Tonight I saw the the mystery "star" ( for the umpteenth time ) again that seems to appear at will, and its a bit farther away than usual. Its still bright mind you, but not in its usual place. And for the first time I saw it move just a bit. Some of us that have seen it haven't seen it change colors yet.

I seen it too again lastnight 11/13/13
it was like you stated further away and blueish.
it moves and is seen in a different portion of the sky on different nights just as the moon and everything really.
Could be a star or could be something far more interesting.
XD

I saw something that fits this description in the sky over South Austin tonight around 8 PM. Very bright white light that hovered and moved skyward very quickly - almost like a firework, then hovered again and raced in a curved pattern across the sky. It appeard to be spinning at some points and turned blueish/purple with a bit of red. Absolutely the most out of the ordinary thing I've seen in the sky. My neighbors witnessed it, too. So I know I'm not seeing things. This appeared to possibly be a remote controlled device of some sort. But it was incredibly fast and went incredibly high in the air.
