A really bizarre UFO sighting happened over New Year's Even in San Antonio. The witness uploaded video of a bright light hovering in the night sky. According to the witness description, as well as comments on the video, smaller lights were dropping out of the unidentified object: 
This was taken in San Antonio TX, I'm not sure exactly what it is. small lights would drop out of it. also it seemed very stationary in the sky for the most part. before i could video it there were 4in a row doing the same thing. my phone would not work at that moment. In past years me and a few others have seen the same looking red light hover and zip across the sky.
What drone, plane, star or satellite would drop lights from it? Could this be a trick of the eye or are we looking at a military flare? What do you think people in San Antonio on New Year's Eve (besides fireworks)?

We also saw the same thing last night 1/4/17, there were about 8 orbs in the sky , orange in color flickering and then would disappear into the sky. Not sure if anyone else saw them at about 9:30 pm. I sent this information to KSAT 12 news.

I saw something very similar new years eve. Care to elaborate as to which direction this was spotted in? I'm wondering if I saw the same thing. Definitely was no kind of fireworks that I'm aware of, and was stationary for far too long to be a plane, or even a helicopter for that matter.
