Strange Light Checks Out Oil Rig & Takes Off in Port Aransas

• What: Light travels to oil rig, spirals around, and then takes off

Texas UFO Sightings received an anonymous report of a bright light that made a beeline for an oil rig and then shot off into the stratosphere (as UFOs tend to do). Check out the full witness testimony:

Looking south west from the fifth floor of the Sandcastle resort sometime after midnight. Looking out towards a large rig in the gulf, out of the corner of my eye, a bright light moved across the sky that looked to be a shooting star(same speed). Once the light got above the rig, it spun around in a rather tight but un-uniform spiral and then shot straight back up into the sky.
