Michael Watson was looking up at a bright star when, suddenly!, it disappeared. Believe it or not, this is a fairly common phenomenon in Texas and across the whole world. The only explanations that come to mind are fast-moving drones, cloaked craft, planes flying off in the distances, flares, or Chinese lanterns, but none of these quite seem to fit - at least not for all the sightings like these that I receive. Although Michael didn't capture a photo of this particular UFO orb, he did take one of the trail left behind (which I will hopefully be following up with soon), and he also shared detailed testimony with me: I was driving home south bound on highway 281 and noticed what I thought was Venus in the southeastern sky. It was about the same brightness as Venus and didn't look to be moving at all. I kept looking at it off and on for about 30 seconds and then suddenly it was gone. I did not see it disappear or move away. I just looked up again and it was nowhere in sight. There were no clouds in the area but in the vicinity of where it had been was a short, vertical con-trail that I hadn't noticed before. I got home about 5 minutes afterwards and decided to walk down the street to see if the trail was still there. It was so I took a picture of it. I know it's close to July 4th but this was not fireworks and didn't look like a conventional aircraft as there were no blinking lights.
