A really intriguing account of a UFO over Texas from back in the 1980s has just now surfaced online in a report to TexasUFOSightings.com. Dustin Platt writes: While riding my minibike across the street in a big abandoned field, I remember stopping my bike and looking up. In the sky I saw a black circular object flying across the sky. It was not hovering and it was not particularly close to ground level, it was definitely high up in the air. I couldn’t hear anything or smell anything. But something compelled me to stop and look up. At my age I did not know anything about UFOs. I was raised in a religious household and things like this weren’t discussed or watched as far as TV programs and movies go. When you look at an unfamiliar object like I was, you relate what you’re seeing to things that you know. This is how I described it to myself, as something I was familiar with. I’ll never forget that I told myself, “Look, it’s Abraham Lincoln‘s top hat“. I remember watching it cross the entire sky from where I could see, we did have a lot of trees where I lived. I lost sight of the object and I maneuvered my minibike through the field but I never saw it again. It was gone. I never really thought about what I saw. Later in life I started having an interest in UFOs and how it made perfect sense that we are not alone. I think it’s conceited and unintelligent to think we are the only intelligent life form in this vast universe. I have watched many documentaries and I have seen many photos but I have never seen a photo that looked like what I saw. And for the first time in my life, while watching a Joe Rogan interview with Lazar, I heard Jeremy Cornell mention a top hat UFO. I never googled images of a top hat UFO because I never heard of one. You hear about cigar shaped, TicTac, discs but the top hat UFO doesn’t seem to be as popular. I immediately looked for images and I saw one from the 1950s that looked exactly like what I saw. I have always assumed that what I saw was a UFO and I was never sure if my childhood memory was accurate. But I will say this, this particular incident in my life, especially at that young of an age, it has always been one of the most vivid memories that I have. I don’t know what compelled me to look at the sky, stop my bike to look at the sky, but that moment in my life has never dulled. It’s not like I saw pictures of these types of UFOs and that’s what I wanted to see. I saw what I saw and 35 years later I see an image from the 1950s that looks like it belongs in my memories. To think that you saw something and you believed what you saw was true and then get that image from your mind confirmed from a picture 30 years years prior to my experience, this is a WoW moment. And now I can’t stop thinking about it and I wanted to tell my small story for the first time. I now KNOW what I saw was a UFO and not a mangled memory. I will try to track down the exact photo in question that this witness is referring to, but I did find something similar online to share for now: What do you think of this case?
