Two Friends Witness UFO Over La Porte, Texas

A detailed report of a speedy UFO orb over La Porte, Texas has been submitted to TexasUFOs by witness Jillian P, who claimed to have experienced the sighting along with a friend:

I was taking a pleasant night drive with my close friend in the passenger seat when this sighting occurred, and we both witnessed it. Both of us are used to driving together at night and we've seen plenty of things in the sky that we can identify, what we saw is not one of them. It happened on the stretch of Spencer highway between Underwood and Canada / East. My friend and I happened to look at the same area in the sky, and what we saw was a whitish-blue orb of light that left a streak as it traveled upwards in a strange motion. The night was cloudy, yet this orb appeared in front of the clouds, which rules out any chance of it being some sort of comet. It was also extremely fast yet controlled in its movement through the sky, and appeared just as quickly as it disappeared. After initially seeing it, we both immediately confirmed to each other what we saw and found it strange that we both happened to look in that area of the sky at the same time to see something that moved as speedily as this object did.

Unfortunately I don't have the date or time of this sighting, but I saw the exact same object in late August or early September on Highway 146 right before getting on the Fred Hartmann bridge.

Mysterious orbs are a common sighting (as compared to flying saucers and triangles). Could this be another unexplained sighting to add to the books, like the case below, or is there an easier explanation? Let me know what you think the comments, or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
