Lights flying in a clear pattern aren't rare when you go over UFO history, but because they indicate a real craft or intelligent control, these reports come in only occasionally on a day-to-day basis. For some reason, we've seen a lot of these reports over the past month, though - in Austin and South Texas. The witness is a veteran flyer and is pretty used to seeing commercial air craft. These were not commercial air craft. Best part is - this wasn't a one-time deal. The lights have showed up in the area multiple times! Here's the full description of what this Flower Mound family has been seeing, kindly submitted to TUS: 8/1..... 12am... While taking my dogs out before going to bed, I was in a pitch-back backyard that backs to an equally pitch-black golf course, I noticed the usual flow of planes on approach to DFW, which is maybe 15 miles south of the northern end of Flower Mound, where my home is located. A set of bright lights, in pyramid shape (broader at the bottom, more narrow at the top) appeared to be moving east->west perpendicular to the aforementioned planes on approach to DFW ......what caught my eye was the bottom->top sequence of the flashing lights, combined with the lack of any discernible engine noise. While I am not a trained pilot, I am a person that flys approx. 48 weeks per year and have done so for more than 25yrs. feel I am pretty familiar with common commercial aircraft and this was like nothing I have ever observed prior.... Aug 8th, around dusk, my family and I were in the pool when I noticed a similar set of lights heading east....I pointed out this sight to my wife and children. Over the next 60 minutes, my family identiified 10 similar shapes in the evening sky. Did you see this, too? Let me know!

A little boy camping in the back yard at night awoke to a strange noise. He then saw a, well, flying saucer in the sky. While unfortunately we have no photos or videos, we do have this second-hand report from his mother, graciously provided to TUS: My son who is 12 was camping outside in our back yard. He woke up b/c of a strange noise. He freaked out when he saw a large saucer in the sky. It scared him so bad he ran inside the house. He described it quite clearly and he is not a trouble maker or liar. He described lights and a large vessel with no wings. Also lights. We believe him, too!
Just a bit ago, a Texan was observing five red lights flying in formation above their home. And apparently, they weren't the only witness, as the neighbors were oohing and ahhing over the sight themselves. This sighting reminds me an awful lot of a recent sighting out of Austin, featuring video (which you can see at the bottom of this post). Here's a drawing the witness provided: And here's their full description of the sighting, (both were submitted to MUFON): I was sitting outside on the balcony when I heard my neighbors talking about something in the sky. I finally noticed something about a minute later coming from behind the trees. It was four glowing lights in a trapezoidal formation traveling in a north westerly direction. As I was viewing them a fifth light appeared behind the original four. It was centered in back of the original four. They were all a bright reddish-orange color and did not blink. The light came from a bright center, gradually dimming outwards and appeared spherical. They appeared like a flash like from a camera but it was constant. It was not a satellite as I have seen those before. I did not notice any type of indicator lights like you would normally see on an airplane. The lights then dimmed to practically nothing. All I could see was a very small pinpoint of light. I noticed them as I was facing east at about a 45 degree angle up from due east. They traveled without changing formation until I was facing due north still at about 45 degrees up from north. I took around ten minutes for them to travel from first sighting to last light out. A few minutes later I noticed an airplane flying in the same direction at a higher rate of speed than the object was travelling. And last but definitely not least... check out this video of a similar sighting (I think) in Austin from July 2nd:
Fortunately, it's still a good find and appears to be a genuine sighting - the YouTuber responsible for it hasn't posted anything of this nature before. In the video, a glowing little orb, winking - not quite blinking, travels upward in a straight line... to where, we'll never know, as the camera shuts off before the UFO. What was this object (a plane?), and where was it headed? Please let me know if you saw this, or have any more info.
We've got some hazy, but no less interesting footage of what appears to be several orbs of all varieties... sometimes they blink, but sometimes they look like solid orbs. They also appear to move and flash - though I could be mistaking a passing plane or helicopter as one of the UFOs. As always, you be the judge: Barely any description was attached to the video, but the video itself features the voice of the witness and his son: Can't even catch it on camera... |
