  • What:  Large, bright, silent craft

A local Texan - "EastTexasUFOs" - has collected quite the following over the past few months, and one of his latest video offerings might be one of his best to date. The dedicated UFO chaser is well-liked for his, well, regular sightings,  harrowing, suspenseful commentary, and obligatory music soundtrack.

This time around, he spots an extremely large, silent craft with many, multi-colored lights. In the end, he'll share his flight tracker app, which proves that there were no known crafts in the area at the time.

Here's a video still:
Hang on tight, here's the vid:
And here's the video description:
On a drive back from work, I notice two strange amber colored lights following me as I race home to get my camera. What we see is the tail end of the last one post morph. I was lucky catch this as mild form of proof it actually happened. See video in the response to see one morph.
And this Texan UFO hunter has lots of fans. Comments on his videos are all along the lines of this:
I think i had an adrenaline rush just watching-so i totally understand how you must have been feeling.I love your vids, it's nearly like i'm there with you.I really appreciate what you are doing to help bring this topic to more people. Thanks- Geoff -

  • When: May 3rd, 2013
  • Where: Austin
  • What: Turtle-like object circling around in the sky, only visible in the clouds

An Austin area resident was bewildered by a pretty bizarre sight in the sky: a green turtle-like object circling through the sky, which would disappear in the clouds off and on. Could this have simply been a balloon, or perhaps a laser light display, as suggested by a commenter?

Here's the full reported, submitted to SightingsReport.com:
I was on the balcony at my apartments an I was sitting talking to my brother an I was looking at the sky at the shape of the clouds then a neon turtoise black in the middle object was circling in the clouds an I didn't know what it is when I saw I never seen nothin like this in my life an I look up every type of plane an jets that we have but this was A perfect circle an we went down theran it change position an was hovering over us so we went back in the house to the balcony An it came back to place it was an it stayed there more then a hour circling around the apartments in the clouds but how I lost view of it because the clouds went away so I couldn't see itbecause I only could see it though the clouds an it was invisible in the clear sky so this is crazy so I need answers.

And a comment, with a possible explanation.
This sounds like it could have been a laser display. One of the best mediums to reflect laser images on are clouds. The fact that you could only see it when the clouds were present would suggest a laser interpretation for the sighting.

Would suggest you first search through local media outlets to see if there were any displays advertised for the time in question. Failing that, try contacting the FAA or the ATC centre at the nearest airport. There are established regulations governing the safe use of lasers in outdoor displays to minimize any risk to private or commercial air traffic.

And I just had to share this classic UFO video, prepare to LOL your pants off:

  • Where: San Antonio
  • What: Two objects, one blinking like a plane, and an orange orb

A San Antonio, Texan watched a strange craft and a bright orange orb seem to interact with each other and mysteriously disappear. The witness is no stranger to UFOs, though - this is the second time they've seen a weird anomaly in the sky and they chalk it up to the many nearby military bases.

Here's the full report, submitted to MUFON:
i was at the drive thru at a fast food place and i looked out the window at and saw this blinking light.at first i thought it was a plane cause it was just blinking. then it started blinking really fast 3 blinks at a time really bright.and about a min later this small orange ball of light just appeared right behind this blinking light. this blinking light kept going on a straight path but the orange ball was stationary the whole time the object was visible. then the blinking light just blinked out and i couldnt see it anymore but the orange ball was still there for 5 min . right before it disappeared it blinked one time and it was gone! i have no idea what this thing was! this is the second sighting in san antonio tx that iv seen . san antonio tx has the most bases in all of the united states. "Lackland Air Force Base" "U.S. Air Force base" "US Kelly Air Force Base" "Randolph Air Force Base" "Brooks Air Force Base" "kennedy air force base" and others

  • When: May 5th, 2013
  • Where: Princeton (north of Dallas, east of McKinney)
  • What: Green UFOs hover, travel, turn pink, and then shoot up into sky

Couple watched as two green, tear-shaped objects hovered in the night sky and then made a bee line for their home, hovered again, and then started glowing with a pink red color. The wife was afraid and wanted to go inside, but before they headed into the house, the UFOs turned green again and shot back up into space with a flash.

Wow, wish we could have seen that!

Here's the full report, submitted to MUFON:
Factors Unknown Sighting Details May 5th 2013 my wife and I stepped outside for a smoke as we where sitting there smoking and look at the night sky I noticed two objects which at first look I thought where  stars but it seemed odd I've never noticed then before and they was really close to each other . As we watched the objects we noticed the began to move in a straigh line one behind the other both putting off a bright green glow as they move to the north from the south as the objects. Where almost directly above us they stopped in midflight and began to omit a pinkish red glow for what seemed to be a matter of one minuet by this time my wife is scared pulling me by the arm to come inside as we both still had are eyes locked on the two tear shaped objects after watching for a little while longer the objects went back to green and shot straight up and where out of side with in a flash

A Dallas area resident spotted a very obvious object in the sky - brighter and bigger than a typical star. It also was a mix of red, yellow, and orange. Could this have been a satellite or perhaps a shooting star that only appeared stationary? No word on whether this object simply hovered or exhibited other behavior.

The best line from this report? "I've seen a lot of UFOs in my time, so I just went back in the house."

Read the full MUFON report right here:
Bigger and brighter than a normal star.

Got out of my car and saw this object in the sky. I live within 1-2 miles of a fema installation. The object was bright red, yellow, orange. Ive seen a lot of UFOs in my time so I just went back in the house.

  • When: April 28th, 2013
  • Where: Denton (near Flower Mound in the Dallas area)
  • What: Boomerang-shaped lights, moving and hovering and then disappearing

A man and his stepson observed four lights glowing in the sky - first stationary and then moving around. They disappeared and then reappeared, only to disappear again. Their stop and start behavior and weird boomerang shape are definitely bewildering.

Here are a few photos of the sighting:
And then full report, submitted to ReportaUFO.com:
We stepped out into the back yard and looked up in the sky to the south. At bout 40 degrees above the horizon there were 4 lights in the sky. 3 were bright and one was dim. The lights could better be described as "glowing," not as a light that shines. It was almost like looking at a star, the way they twinkle. Because they weren't moving, my first thought was of helicopters. But as we watched I quickly realized that they didn't have any kind of flashing lights, I quickly became unsure of what they might be. My stepson and I watched as the lights faded from view. It wasn't like they went anywhere, they just slowly diminished to nothing. The lights were located in the flight path on the north end of DFW International Airport. Aircraft could be seen around the sky (none in the immediate area of the objects we saw).
Ten minutes later, my stepson said "there they are again." This time they were southeast of our location and they were moving toward the location where we had first seen them. When they got to the location where we first saw them, they stopped and appeared to hover. Then again, they slowly faded out of sight. At no time did we ever hear them make any kind of sound.

  • What: Glowing object, wobbling around the sky

A couple in South Texas watched a very large star-like object, glowing in the night sky and moving very quietly but erratically about. What's especially intriguing about this sighting is apparently it's not the first of its kind: the pair of witnesses have spotted this 5 other times.

Here's the full report, submitted to MUFON:
I was indoors while my wife was out on the front porch stargazing. She saw what looked like a bright planet in the western sky that she had not noticed before so she focused on it for a minute. The object began to move very slowly towards the south. The object moved so slowly that at first she was not sure it was moving. When she was sure the object was indeed moving she came inside to get me. I went outdoors and observed a bright glowing planet sized object approx 75 degrees above the western horizon traveling south at approx 5000 feet elevation. Grabbed a pair of binoculars that we keep on a porch table and observed the object best described as a luminescent pearl that wobbled erratically as it moved silently across the night sky. The object continued on it's southern trajectory as it traveled out of sight. The entire sighting lasted between two to three minutes. Went back outside about 10 minutes later to look for more objects but none were observed. This is the sixth time we have observed this and similar phenomenon at this location.

  • What:  Streak of light travels through sky

Way up in North Texas, right by the Texas/Kansas border, a star gazer spotted a pretty interesting sight: a very large, wavy, gray streak of light that traveled for a little bit until abruptly disappearing.

This doesn't seem like a meteor, as there was no tail or sound and of course the color isn't right. Here's a photo of the event:
And the full witness testimony, submitted to MUFON:
While standing in the street in front of the house, I observed a streak of light in the sky traveling W to SW. The streak seemed to be at least 10 miles away. There was no sound associated with the light. I was able to get my phone out and take a picture of the streak across the sky. It was visible for about 15 seconds. The streak disappeared immediately, there was no fading of the streak. Included with this report are two photos. The first is the original, showing the streak, and two stars, Pollux and Castor, in the western sky. The second photo is the same photo with the stars identified and circled with Paint Shop Pro. No other alterations were made to either photo. The location of the prominent stars and the time of evening will accurately show the location of the light streak.

  • When: April 29th, 2013
  • Where: San Antonio
  • What: Strange light gets in way of plane

A couple watching a thunderstorm were surprised by a strange, slow-moving, silent light that appeared out of the clouds and might have even gotten in the way of a plane, changing its trajectory. Could this have been a drone or perhaps an RC plane?

Here's the full report, submitted to MUFON:
My wife and I were sitting outside in the front porch of our house Watching a thunderstorm roll in. We heard a low flying plane. Got up from the porch to look at the plane, as the plane was flying by we were following it. I noticed a light appear out of the clouds in front of the plane. The plane veered left,it seemed to turn away from the object. We started looking at the light trying to figure out what it was. As it passed over our house, the object didnt make any type of noise. It was moving at a slow rate of speed. My wife was able to take 3 pictures of the object before it disappeared in the clouds. I have never seen anything like it before.

  • When: May 12th, 2013
  • Where: Boerne (southwest of Austin)
  • What: Several orbs, some hovering, and others moving all over the sky in a clear intelligent fashion

Updated 5/18

Okay, guys, it's rare I get some UFO footage that really stumps me. It's stumping me so much I'm not ruling out that a laser pointer might be the culprit! Essentially, a Central Texan caught a few, very fast moving orbs on cam. These orbs change colors from red to orange to white - they are zooming around, making crazy turns and are very clearly moving intelligently. I'm wondered if the UFO witness was simply pointing a laser light up into the sky, but or he or she reassured me that "those red dots moving around are what I was trying to film."

Anyone know what this spectacle could have been? Did you see something in Central Austin on the night of May 12th? Let me know!

In the meantime, here are a few video still:
And the video itself:
