"It hung in the air over old downtown Katy, Texas till 8:30" - Mysterious Giant White Light Reported1/28/2020
A mysterious "giant white light" was seen hovering silently over downtown Katy, Texas, according to a witness who sent in a report to TexasUFOSightings. It eventually disappeared. What is interesting is just a few days before this, in Austin, Texas, another witness saw "huge bright white star"-like object as well, though in that case it was traveling versus hovering. Do you think these cases are connected? Could these be weather events, perhaps meteors? Read the testimony below and as always, you be the judge: I was driving from Cypress from Fry rd. To Tallowpine Terrace about 6:30 pm I looked to my left while in traffic at a 4 way stop sign. I seen what at first looked like a very bright star. I then noticed it was too low to be a star. I then noticed it was completely still. No blinking, color change it just hung in the air. I finally got to my friends house and pulled her outside to see. She had no idea what it was and told me there is no tower there. It hung in the air over old downtown Katy, Texas till 8:30. When I left it was no longer there. It was very bright white light, no sound. I wanted to take a picture but of all times my phone was dead. It wasn’t a plane because it didn’t move and wasn’t high enough. It wasn’t a helicopter because it made no sound and had no reason to hover in one place for over an hour. It was too big and bright to be a drone again why hover in one place? I also seen aircraft flying around it. I have no idea what is was. I went back during the day and nothing was there it was just sky. I’m so glad I showed my friend or no one would believe me.

January 13th, 2020 Update:
The witness has followed with me about what she saw: "It was new years so there were a lot fireworks going off. In the second video I posted the lights started to fade out one by one. Nothing really stuck out as unusual, except for the lights themselves. They seemed so far away, I was not sure what they could be." A lot of people seem to be in agreement with me that this was not a triangle UFO, but probably just Chinese lanterns, considering they don't do anything "weird," per say, and they also fade out, one by one. The witness' testimony also matches up to this theory. But that doesn't mean it's the right theory. If you think this is a triangle UFO, let me know in the comments or on Facebook or Twitter! Original story:
Two videos showing a triangle UFO (or multiple lights forming a triangle) over Houston, were uploaded to YouTube. The video ended up making national news headlines! As compelling and news-making as this footage was, the fact that the triangle UFO never moves and eventually all but one of the lights blink out, leads me to wonder if these lights are drones, flares, Chinese lanterns, or even fireworks? What do you think? Scroll down for more... January 13th, 2020 Update: Some savvy viewers have pointed out that the hovering "cluster of lights" may really just be a spider web! Although other UFOs (or drones, etc...) appear in the sky and one does seem to fly right toward to the "cluster"/spider web???, that doesn't mean all the lights are related. What do you think? Let me know in the comments, or on Twitter or Facebook.
Paranormal Shaun on YouTube wrote to TexasUFOSightings to share an amazing and clear daytime video of multiple UFOs over Houston. What's interesting is the lights weren't seen with the naked eye (due to the bright sunlight), but the witness was able to track them through their camera: This is not the first time Paranormal Shaun has seen and filmed UFOs, as his YouTube channel has other UFO videos as well.
What could these orbs be? They are fast-flying, however they mostly move in a straight direction and so could be explained away as drones or maybe even military craft. However, at one point, a set of lights can be seen hovering in the sky, and they appear connected to each other (as if part of larger craft). Do you have any guess as to what this video may show? Please share them in the comments, or on Twitter or Facebook. Did you see these UFOs over Houston, too? Report your sighting!
Several folks in Central Texas witnessed a very strange string of lights glide through the sky in the early hours of Tuesday morning. I've seen reports out of Austin and Houston, so far:
Starlink Satellites to blame?
But it turns out that aliens are probably not invading the Lone Star State. SpaceX launched a "fleet of Starlink satellites" on January 6th, and so many online are suggesting that Elon Musk is really to blame for these UFO sightings! Based on the launch date, and other photos of Starlink satellites I've seen in the past, this theory holds a lot of water:
Where most reports of UFOs were reported, Houston:
What Starlink satellite looks like from down on the ground (pretty amazing looking):
That said, with the increase of man-made advanced craft, from drones to satellites, we should be careful to not be so quick to judge or debunk a UFO sighting. After all, there are famous sightings from the past that are very similar to the "Starlink train," and so we what are we to make of these sightings? Would they be incorrectly debunked as our own satellites if they were seen again today?
Compare photos of the famous Lubbock Lights (1951) and Stephenville lights (2008) to recent sightings of SpaceX satellite launches and let me know what you think... maybe our technology is catching up to ET's?
As always, share your opinions on this sighting and more in the comments below, or on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
Did you see these UFOs as well? Do you believe they are still unidentified? Report your sighting!
Any time you look up at the sky, you increase your chances of seeing a UFO! Well, on nights like New Year's Eve, when fireworks displays take on the attention of more people than usual, UFOs are seen more than usual. Case in point... here are a few recent encounters of hovering lights over Tomball and South Texas fireworks shows. But are these aliens? Or maybe just drones, fellow fireworks, or even stars? As always, you be the judge: Tomball, TX NYE Amani Alwagfi writes South Texas NYE |
