AMSMeteors.org has received a suspiciously steady stream of dramatic fireball reports since the new year, and the night of the January 24th was a definite highlight. Central up to North Texas got a glimpse of a pretty fantastic shooting star. One person - driving through the Garland area of Dallas - captured in on camera and uploaded the footage to YouTube:
Driving west on I-635 just past La Prada drive. Looks too high and bright to be a flare. The timestamp on the video is an hour later because I forgot to change the timezone after DST ended.
