Spotted Hovering While Driving, took photos, continued to slowly move away further

This occurred two years ago, I've tried reaching out to UFO Proof on youtube with these photos but after he said it wasn't clear enough ( which I understand) I kind of forgot about it. Just went to back to edit some shots I missed and came back to these images. here's the story.

My first road trip with my dad towards the south west, I was driving and spotted this object in the distance. to me it appeared to hover over this mountain range or whatever you'd like to call it. It stayed in the same position for the longest time as we we're passing from the distance. After we started to drive past the initial point it kept moving sideways to the right and off into the distance.

I took these photos while driving with my dads hand on the wheel. I should have stopped but we were trying to reach our destination and had a long way to go.

From what I learned on ufo proof, a Mylar balloon can look like that... to an extent. However the continues hovering in the same spot is strange, and it didn't float up or maneuver side to side from the air. I even thought the locals could pull tricks on tourists but this was far away from any visible small town to where someone would do that randomly.I heard MUFON had a reporting place recently so hear i am. I saw this driving from Austin Texas to Phoenix Arizona. I clearly describe what it looked like to me as I was driving. If you can enhance it, please do.

I was driving from Las Cruces to Arizona, I noticed the object shining above the mountain as I topped out of the river bottom and I watched the object until I passed it and it was behind me. At first I thought it was a hot air balloon but it never seemed to move, either horizontally or vertically. I looked up who to call for UFOs on my cell and called and left a message with MUFON. I continued to watch the object, thinking it would move and lost sight of it when I got past the area where it was directly south of me, which would have been about 10 miles west of Deming, NM.
I uploaded the photos in the same order that I took them in, over about a 15 minute period as I was driving.
