Aliens or SpaceX? Could Our Tech Be Catching Up to ET's?

  • When: January 7th, 2019 at 5:55 AM
  • Where: Houston and Austin
  • What: Large cigar-shaped glowing object; likely Starlink 3 group launch

Several folks in Central Texas witnessed a very strange string of lights glide through the sky in the early hours of Tuesday morning. I've seen reports out of Austin and Houston, so far:

Just spotted this thing floating south(east?) over the skies in SW Houston. Looked like a strand of individual lights keeping in a straight line. What did I just see? #hounews #believe pic.twitter.com/MAH4KMBxkO

Starlink Satellites to blame?

But it turns out that aliens are probably not invading the Lone Star State. SpaceX launched a "fleet of Starlink satellites" on January 6th, and so many online are suggesting that Elon Musk is really to blame for these UFO sightings! Based on the launch date, and other photos of Starlink satellites I've seen in the past, this theory holds a lot of water:

Where most reports of UFOs were reported, Houston:
What Starlink satellite looks like from down on the ground (pretty amazing looking):

That said, with the increase of man-made advanced craft, from drones to satellites, we should be careful to not be so quick to judge or debunk a UFO sighting. After all, there are famous sightings from the past that are very similar to the "Starlink train," and so we what are we to make of these sightings? Would they be incorrectly debunked as our own satellites if they were seen again today?

Compare photos of the famous Lubbock Lights (1951) and Stephenville lights (2008) to recent sightings of SpaceX satellite launches and let me know what you think... maybe our technology is catching up to ET's?

I have been seeing a lot of movement of stars in the Sky tonight. At first I thought it was because of the Clouds but they were moving slow from North all the way South,, one larger like a larger star, followed by a smaller. I then Saw what looked like a jet w red red light, heading straight toward them and pass them. Jet had Chem trail. This happen at like 8 pm. I'm in SW Houston.
