"Bright fiery object in the sky...smaller objects flew up towards it" - North of Dallas

  • When: December 29th, 2018
  • Where: Sanger (North of Dallas)
  • What: Bright fiery object

A really bizarre report of a "bright fiery object" changing shapes and then eventually disappearing over a lake in Texas has been submitted to NUFORC (case 144219). Before the UFO mysteriously vanished, "three smaller objects" flew up into it:
We saw a bright fiery object in the sky that changed shape frequently and had smaller objects fly up towards it.

2 of my friends and I were out at lake Ray Roberts in Sanger taking pictures of star trails late at night. The sky was cloudy and pretty dark, but a few minutes later, we looked over the Ray Roberts dam and saw a giant object in the sky. The object in question had a fiery hue and changed form a few times. It would get bigger and brighter and then it would shrink down to nothing and reappear.

It rotated around while it was in view and had around 3 other objects of the same fiery hue fly up to it. After the 3 smaller objects flew up towards it, it vanished.

While we were observing it we attempted to capture images of it. I was unsuccessful as my images were blurry but my 2 other friends managed to capture photo and video of it.

Is it possible that this is mistaken report of ball lighting, versus a UFO? Ball lightning is a rare, but real natural weather phenomenon wherein a literal ball of lightning hovers or moves across the sky. Famous engineer Nikolas Tesla was famous for experimenting with ball lightning.

My 14 year olds son was camping at lake ray Robert’s on the Johnson side and around 10pm, December 27th, 2020, He looked up and saw a triangular shaped ufo pass by his eyes. They had green lights and as myself and his sister turned our head to see it, it was gone. It made no sound and was close below the clouds.
