Two really amazing and detailed reports of a mystery "spaceship" hovering over a home in the Houston area were submitted to NUFORC (case 157869) together. If you have more information about this case, or also saw this UFO, leave a comment or send a UFO report.

A large ship @50 ft wide with a large orange light hovered over my backyard at the top of my tree about 25ft up.

Person 1:Person 1: Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020 at 12:46 am I went outside to my backyard and I looked up and saw a large circular ship (@50 ft wide) with red lights around the perimeter of the ship and large orange light @12 ft across in the center at the bottom of the ship. It had landing wheels tucked into the bottom of the ship and the underside of the ship looked like it had a large motor box. It was right above me at the top of my tree about 25 ft above the ground. I could see the red lights on the grass. It did not have any propellers and it was very loud, like the sound of a waterfall. The bottom was completely black except for the lights.

I ran inside and got my friends to come outside and see it. We watched it from directly underneath it. After 15 seconds it took off extremely fast parallel to the ground towards the North. Then we went to the front yard and saw a large orange light about a mile away towards the East over our neighbor’s barn.

Person 2: Wednesday July 22, 2020 12:46am.

I was watching TV and my friend ran inside and said “Come outside, I think there is a space ship”. I ran out side with my friend and I heard this loud huge noise that sounded like a large waterfall. I looked up and saw a large spaceship that was black with a bright orange light in the center of the bottom of the ship. The orange light was about 12ft wide and the ship was about 50 feet wide. The ship was directly above a tree which was about 20-25 ft high. The ship was creating wind that made the tree move back and forth at the top. We did not feel the wind. The ship hovered above her yard and then suddenly took off towards the North after about 15 seconds. It went straight across even with the ground at a very fast speed.

We ran to the front yard and we saw a bright orange light that looked like a star above the neighbors barn to the North East. We went inside and the light was still above the barn in the sky. It left around 1:00 am.

Meteorologist Detects UFO on Weather Radar - Large & Hovering Over Lubbock

What: Object detected hovering on weather radar

A local meteorologist in Hereford noticed an anomaly on the weather radar for Lubbock, Texas - specifically a large hovering object that doesn't act like a cloud or other typical weather pattern. The witness attached photos and a video (scroll down) of the radar to a MUFON report:

Anomaly measured on Lubbock, Texas weather radar (KLBB) at approx 7K feet. Is stationary through several radar cycles. The same object does not appear when viewed from the Amarillo, Texas radar (KAMA) where the beam intersects the same area at approx 4K feet. Meaning, that the Amarillo radar beam passed "under" the object that reflected a signal to the Lubbock radar when sensed the object at 7K feet. I'm a meteorologists and have been using radar remote sensing for 20-years, this object isn't "weather" such as a cloud as it does not move in a lateral direction through several radar cycles.

Attaching:

1. Radar imagery from KLBB with measurement from radar to object (showing beam height).

2. Radar imagery from KAMA with measurement from radar to object (showing beam height).

3. Loop of radar cycles indicating object is stationary.

4. Volumetric 3D scan of object (from KLBB radar).

"Like a Knife" - UFO Photographed in Alvin

10/20 Update: A similar sighting occurred in nearby Galveston a night later.

Olga submitted a curious photo to TUS - of a fiery red line seemingly shooting down (or up) in the night sky. Could be the trail of a meteor or flare or... something far stranger. Here's the photo and brief description of what she saw:

Black Triangle Over Alvin, TX

Someone has spotted a black triangle craft slowly moving over Alvin, TX on May 20th. They snapped a few pictures of the craft, but nothing can really be made out of the photos ('read more' to view them). However, the witness offers up a detailed description and drawing of the sighting.

Here's the full MUFON report:

I am a professional photographer with 7 years of experience. I have a wide scope of projects I have completed ranging from architecture, to events, fashion, landscape, commercial, art, etc.. I was leaving a wedding that I had photographed in Alvin, Texas on 5/20/2012. I observed what looked like a plane in the distance while driving south-west on County Road 539 at 1:25AM. I almost ignored the lights in the sky when I noticed that there was a strange pulse of orange light coming from the object. I slowed down and kept watching the craft. There was a small red-light at each point of the triangular shaped craft (very similar to those on an aircraft). The craft started to get larger and I could see it was coming closer. I started to believe that it was the top of a tower or antenna due to the low altitude and pulsing. (The orange light on the bottom of the craft would get bright for 2 seconds and dim. This would repeat every 2 seconds.) I saw that it was passing to my left about 200 feet away just above the tree lines over the Alvin Golf Country Club. There was a break in the tree-line and I actually slowed and finally stopped the car when I saw clearly a black triangle shape passing by slowly. It was silently and steadily moving about 15-20mph heading north-east. I had my driver-side window down and watched as it flew past me and my car. I immediately grabbed my camera and made a U-Turn to follow it and attempt to snap some photographs. I hurriedly and excitedly snapped 4 photographs before it disappeared into the distance on its north-east path around 1:30AM. I was doing this while driving so the photographs have motion blur. I have attached two of the photographs of the object where it can be seen as well as a rough-sketch from my perspective in the car. Some interesting observations: -The craft was BLACK- although the sky was dark, I could easily see a dark triangular shape against the dark sky. -The craft was also relatively thick. I would say that it was about 15 feet tall at most and about as big as a large car. By my estimation, it would fit perfectly on a two-car driveway that many homes have. -The edges were not sharp but rounded. -I was shocked at how silent it was when it passed. -The pulsing light gave me the impression that it was a kind of signal to let other flying planes or helicopters see that it was there to prevent a crash.
