Two Dallas residents spotted a bright craft surveying the area, and were able to film it for several minutes. They posted a video to YouTube, which also includes their commentary: 
Sighting of a UFO in the Dallas metroplex area. This craft was seen hovering around the US 75/I635 highway area. And even hovered directly overhead.
As the witnesses admit, this definitely could be a drone. Drones can do all these moves and tend to "spy" like this. However, it appears that in person, this craft looked a lot more mysterious - making no sound, and having red, blue, and green lights turning under its belly.

3/14 Update: This may have been part of a mass sighting crossing many Texas towns. Two reports from Garland over a period of just two days hit MUFON. They may not be related, but their timing is curious! The report from the 6th details a cigar shaped object and multiple lights flashing in the night sky:    I was coming home from work at 4:15am.It was a flashing light that had shot up in the air and then changed course to the left. I got closer to my house when I witnessed the other stationary flashing lights. I was in complete shock. The night before, someone who's seen lots of UFOs in their life (admittedly) and has also experienced classic signs of alien abduction/visitation in the past, reported missing time and the footprints of a large stranger outside their home:  In the past I have had experiences seeing crafts hovering over my home before and taking my sister and I. I have in the past seen entities entering my bedroom and taking me with them. However, last night I have no memory except for not remembering going to sleep and waking up extremely drowsy like I had been drugged. I remember this sensation from previous experiences. When I woke up I opened my door and noticed foot prints that appeared from the middle of the yard where a bi-pedal entity walked towards my door and the prints stop at my door step. There are no return prints. I have included several photographs. I would really like to know what left behind these very strange prints. Whoever left them was heavier than myself as far as I know because the prints pierced the snow into the ground. This is the first report I've ever made of any of my experiences. I've never actually seen evidence left behind before after any of them. For comparison I imprinted my own foot about 4 inches to the side of it and it appears to be about 11 inches long. Thank you very much for your time, I apologize I do not have further information to give you on this incident. Texas UFO Sightings doesn't often report on direct encounters with strange phenomenon like this, as they are not common and evidence is typically lacking. However, these reports must be taken seriously as the alien abduction phenomenon may very well be something we live with (hence the archetype that's been created), and considering the UFOs that appeared a night later for a different witness, this particular report is definitely an intriguing one.

AMSMeteors.org has received a suspiciously steady stream of dramatic fireball reports since the new year, and the night of the January 24th was a definite highlight. Central up to North Texas got a glimpse of a pretty fantastic shooting star. One person - driving through the Garland area of Dallas - captured in on camera and uploaded the footage to YouTube: Driving west on I-635 just past La Prada drive. Looks too high and bright to be a flare. The timestamp on the video is an hour later because I forgot to change the timezone after DST ended. Ever since the infamous Valentines Day meteor struck Russia, above average meteor sightings have been a constant and almost concerning reality of late! Check out some more witness reports:

A father and his daughter were going on an evening walk with their dogs when they spotted a peculiar bright satellite in the sky, like a "bright planet moving across the sky." However, it was way too low to the ground and bright to be a satellite. Then another light popped up alongside it, followed by more lights (this time, flashing). The witness kindly submitted a description of their encounter to TUS, and is wondering if anyone else saw these strange lights (please report your sighting if you did): I'm always looking at the sky at night. There are tons of planes in the air here, but I have never seen anything like this. About 6pm my 10 yr old daughter and I walked the dogs down our street and she has been interested in satellites. She said look dad a satellite. In the west about 20 degrees above the horizon I saw a light that looked Like a bright planet moving across the sky. A little too bright to be a satellite and appeared lower to me. I started to say no it's a plane, but it was moving faster than your average Lear jet on landing approach. Also no sound. About that time another light popped up next to it and it looked like a winged aircraft with lights on either wing, but no sound, no aviation flashers. There was no shape, just lights. Then I said well that's no satellite. I still could have written it off, but then several strobe flashes appeared on the rear between the 2 original lights. 5 or 6 all bright white lights, no colored strobes. Unlike any plan I've seen. It was pretty far north west of us now and I watched it disappear in a few seconds. Maybe 10 Seconds for the whole siting. It flew south to north. Just wondering if anyone else saw it. |
