Two oddly similar UFO reports were submitted to MUFON this week. On July 9th, a witness in west Texas saw a cylindrical-shaped object that changed into a saucer (it was also accompanied by a jet). The next night in Clifton (southwest of Dallas), a witness saw another cylinder - or "cigar" - shaped object, and it too changed its shape, specifically into an oval. Do you think these UFO sightings are related? Read the reports below, and be the judge:
Clifton on July 10th:
I was home woke up at 4:00 to get some water and saw this cigar shaped object flashing multicoloured lights I woke up my husband to look at it and he is not a believer in UFO's but he said he had never seen anything like it in his life. It changed from cigar shape to oval looking and multicoloured lights almost like Christmas colored lights changed colors then back to color and shape of like a star. It was around 10 to 12 miles down the road over Lake Whitney. We live in the country 10 miles from Clifton Texas and same from Meridian Texas. It had to be at least 30 feet or more in size from our view out the window being 10 miles at least down the road.it was clear no clouds our bedroom has windows all around being upstairs we have a clear view. Being in the country is an asset very dark with neighbors down the road not a lot of lights so you can see more. We both lied in bed watching it till sun came up which my husband got his binoculars but couldn't get a view on it. I will stay awake tonight hoping to see it again.I have seen other strange lights in the past but not like last night. Glad my husband saw it has him wondering. Was talking at church about it to someone in law enforcement and told him about it and my description he said maybe weather balloon I asked him if they change shape and size he said no. I think it has him wondering.
Laredo on July 9th:
From backyard witnessed a flying object in a cylinder shape at first but changed saucer shape. A military jet circled it twice.
If you also happen to see this strange cigar-shaped object, report your sighting!

Did Texans glimpse the Lyrid meteor shower this month - ahead of schedule?
While star gazing calendars didn't expect the Lyrids until the 22nd of April, many locals reported seeing a large, fantastic fireball on the 20th and 21st, days after other meteors were seen in other parts of the world - along with many earthquakes.
Reports were sent to NUFORC and AMSMeteors.org, detailing a large fiery object in the sky, flashes of light, and power outages:
San Antonio on April 21st (NUFORC):
A Beautiful Rock full of different colors in the sky.
Jerrell and Laredo on April 20th (NUFORC):
Sky flashed white, then reddish orange glow for 20 seconds.

A video showing a triangle craft glide across the night sky has hit YouTube. It is remarkably clear and features the voices of a family, including kids, discussing the amazing sight.
Since the video description was vague, I don't have any context to share just yet, but check out the video yourself and be the judge of its authenticity:
We've got another report of a triangle UFO on our hands...
While driving home, a family spotted a large, bright triangle craft in the sky, traveling at a great rate of speed. They submitted photo and testimony to MUFON:
I was with my parents and we were going home. My mom was the one who saw it first and told us so we reversed and it took off. Something weird definitely not a plane. Kind of scary. It was a triangle shaped dark black with losts of lights right on top of a football field with football field lights on. I was freaking out but somewhat excited because I had never seen anything like it before. It took off going north bound and left pretty fast.

A pair of friends were getting high and watching the stars... sorry, watching the space ships! To their surprise, they observed several glowing, white orbs bouncing around and making sharp turns, something satellites and planes just don't do.
So, were they just enjoying some really great herb, or did they really see UFOs? Smoking does not make you hallucinate, and I have no doubts about this sight - it's actually quite a familiar one.
Here's the colorful description of what went down in South Texas the night of September 8th, kindly submitted to TUS by reader Wayo A:
Pure coincidence that mine & homegirl's phones had died. Blazing (no, we weren't tripping out, well yeah we were but on the god damn ships" at a local park all night, we started seeing white gleaming dots flying around up in the atmosphere in very intricate & tight patterns from about 1:30-4 am. Planes can't turn like that, & no they weren't satellites. The best way I can describe this series, & bare with me, is...imagine (shit, we thought it) star ships with a zero-gravity propulsion system (they can move & change speeds in any direction) having a dog fight in space, or a bunch of ships mobilizing for whatever reason at that location in space they were consistently flying about. Yeah, we were stoned, but you don't hallucinate, you just chill...now imagine us trying to keep chill while watching that shit
