Multiple videos and reports of a "string of lights" streaming through the nighttime sky have been reported. These lights were seen all around the state, with sighting reported as early as midnight, and as late as 6:45 am. Sightings as far away as Ingram and Winkler County, Texas (that's a four-hour drive) were reported around the same time, however, at 2 AM. Check out the original witness videos below, as well as testimony that was submitted to MUFON. Many are suggesting that these lights could be a meteor shower (perhaps the delta Aquariids or the Perseids). Meanwhile, the "South Texas Weather Updates" Facebook page is suggesting that this is a crashing Russian rocket, specifically the SL-4 rocket body, which has the ID 44799. I did confirm that this rocket was expected to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere on July 17th, so this theory is not far off.
