A TexasUFOs.com reader saw and photographed a weird, misty, blue spherical light hovering and disappearing and reappearing over El Paso in August. The light actually showed up on two different evenings, and both times it was during a storm: I couldn't get this picture to upload on the website but this is from 08/08/17 9:29pm. It was super bright and stayed strong for about 5 minutes and then slowly faded to nothing. It came back for another 2 minutes and faded away completely again. There was a big storm that night and it just hid behind the clouds when it did appear. It appeared again during another storm on 08/14/17 at 8:50 and did the exact same thing. This was in El Paso TX on George Dieter and Edgemere.
Could this simply be a spotlight? Or something more mysterious going on, like a nearby explosion, rare weather phenomenon, or even alien visitation? Share your theories on this sighting and more in the comments below or on social media (Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram).
This is not the first time an eerie blue fog has been photographed over Texas in recent memory. A similar sight was reported in San Antonio in November:
