"I almost rear ended a car at the red light due to my determination of following this unidentified craft" - Cigar UFO Over Corpus

• When: early October 2017 around 2 AM
• Where: Corpus Christi (central part of town, near the intersection of Kostoryz Road & Gollihar)
• What: Cigar-shaped UFO

A dark rod-shaped craft over Corpus from a few years back is just now surfacing online, in a report to TexasUFOSightings:

I was coming from the Stripes Convenient store located On Ayers Street and Gollihar Road I had just gone to buy a pack of Cigarettes and was heading back home on Gollihar Road towards Kostoryz . I was speaking to a friend on my mobile phone and smoking a cigarette when I was approaching the street we live at , Which is 2 blocks from Kostoryz Rd . I merged into the center lane to turn left onto my street but I had to stop for oncoming cars going the opposite way as i was stopped waiting to turn i noticed a red light reflecting onto my front windshield and I said to my self what's these red lights on my wind shield if I m not at a traffic light and i knew it was not from my gauge panel so as I lowered my driver's side window to look up I was shocked and amazed to what I was looking at  , It was just above the the power lines with no sound and very strange as to I could only see the under side of this craft it had one red light that was not blinking on the rear underside ,i t was traveling at a very slow like gliding speed at a triangle direction of my direction I got so scared and wanted to follow this craft so I was talking still to my friend and got out of the turning lane and headed to ward's Kostoryz and never thought about getting off the phone to take a pic of it as I approached Kostoryz I noticed it was maybe the size and shape of 2 Greyhound bus es side by side and slightly curved on the front and rear of the craft and the under side as I remember when it was right above me when I first saw it , it was solid underneath sort of like the way a model hot wheels cars look under heath it's just what I remember ! As I was approaching the intersection of Kostoryz and Gollihar I almost rear ended a car at the red light due to my determination of following this unidentified craft so I never was able to take a pic of the craft as I was telling my friend what I was seeing as I was driving and looking up at the craft but this craft kept its route at it's slow gliding speed but I was not able to catch up to it cuz of its diagonal route to this day I have not been able to find anyone that has witnessed this craft on this night , I m not a drinker or use drugs I ve always been a believer on UFO s but never ever seen anything like this so it has me now always looking up into the skies hoping to catch some video or image of any UFO s in South Texas !!! In which I did catch some video of some strange lights weeks later right above the skies of my residence in the same area in which I saw this craft , I will share this video only when I get some insight on what I witnessed that early morning hour on October2017 ? I would just like to know that I am not alone in what I witnessed that morning as there were some cars out on the streets . Thanks for any help to my sighting in South Texas

Although cigar UFOs are some of the more commonly reported and perplexing types of sightings out there, the only other sighting of a cigar UFO that occurred around this time frame in Texas was a possible photo of a cigar UFO over Corpus in September 2017. The UFO was not seen with the naked eye, so may not have been a UFO at all - but a camera blur or lens flare or some other photo monopoly:

There were multiple cigar UFOs reported during this time range to MUFON, but none in Texas. Comparatively, NUFORC doesn't have any cigar UFO reports filed for October 2017, but several for September. But again, no NUFORC reports from Texas! Could these sightings still be connected?
