Multiple UFOs Seen Over Stephenville - Are the "Stephenville Lights" an Ongoing Phenomenon?

  • When: February 13th, 2019 at 7:10 and 7:35 PM
  • Where: Stephenville, Texas area
  • What: Multiple UFOs

Imagine if the weirdest thing you ever saw in the sky was a shooting star. And then one evening, you see not one, not two, but multiple UFOs! That's what happened to one witness, according to two recent reports submitted to MUFON. Read the testimonies below, which detail two incredible UFO sightings. Then compare these reports to the famous Stephenville lights from 2008. Could these events be related? As always, you be the judge:
[report 1: case 98486]: A cloud of glittering or sparkling lights appeared in the sky at night as I was driving in a rural area. Two of these then burst into flare-like brilliance before disappearing.
On February 13, 2019, at just after 7:00 p.m., I was driving on a rural back road in Erath County, Texas (Highway 2214), heading southeast, just outside and northwest of the tiny town of Desdemona. Ahead of me in the dark night sky, I became aware of a kind of "cloud" of glittering or sparkling white lights appearing at an approximate angle of 35 degrees above the horizon. There was no way to tell how many of them there were, nor was there any way to judge how far away or how high in the sky they might actually be. Their rate of glittering or sparkling was slow, so that only two or three were visible at a time. I began trying to recall if there were any radio or other communication towers in the direction of the lights, because I thought at first that they might be flashing lights on such towers. But there are no such towers in that direction. I also thought the lights might be multiple jets or airplanes flying at high altitudes, but their appearance and the rhythm or pattern of their flashing was unconventional and not like that of such aircraft. I had a full three or four minutes to observe this aerial phenomenon as I drove, and I felt increasingly baffled by it.

Then, suddenly, two of the sparkling lights effectively "burst" into brighter lights that appeared like oversized stars. These began to glide or fall, tracing a slight arc as they headed vaguely earthward. They also left faint trails or streamers. After about five or six seconds, they disappeared -- not as if they had fallen to earth, but as if they had burned out.

At that point, the road I was on curved slightly eastward, to the left, moving the cloud of glittering lights to my right-hand view. I could see them still sparking as they appeared to move behind the cloud cover that had begun to spring up. I lost sight of them after a moment more.

Half an hour later, I experienced another sighting in Stephenville, Texas (see my separately filed report). Prior to tonight, I had never witnessed a UAP.

[report 2: case 98485]: A stationary horizontal row of wedge-shaped (for lack of a better description) white lights appeared and then disappeared.
On February 13, 2019, at 7:35 p.m. I was in the parking lot of Ranger College in Stephenville, Texas. The sky was dark and very slightly overcast. As I was facing south by southwest and starting to get into my car, I saw a horizontal row of somewhat rectangular or wedge-shaped white lights appear in the sky at an angle of about 35 degrees from the horizon. They were in the direction of, but not directly above, a nearby Alon quick stop/gas station. There was no way to tell how far away they might actually be, but in general they looked to be no more than a mile away. They did not appear suddenly, nor did they appear all at once. Instead, each light faded into view over a span of about two seconds, as if they had previously been present but dark and were now "lighting up." They faded into view like this in succession from left to right (from my angle of vision). A total of six or seven lights appeared in this manner, and the first of them began to fade away gradually to invisibility as the latter two or three were appearing. The row was entirely stationary, so that the lights appeared to be not independent objects but attached to, or portions of, some larger object. By the time the fourth light had appeared I was diving into my car to grab my phone and try to take photos or capture some video, but I was ultimately unsuccessful in doing this. As I emerged from the car with my phone, I saw the full complement of six or seven lights beginning to fade away, starting with the leftmost one. Then they were gone. The full sighting lasted maybe 30 to 40 seconds.

Note that this was my second sighting within the same hour on the same night. See my separate report from the same date. Prior to these, I had never seen a UAP, other than a vaguely remembered long-lasting shooting star from sometime in my youth.

Famous "Stephenville Lights" of 2008:

Picture
In 2008, mystery lights seen and photographed over Stephenville, Texas made news headlines. Orange/red glowing orbs, flying in formation (or perhaps connected to one single craft!), were seen flying over Texas, specifically in the direction of (then) President George Bush's ranch in Crawford. Although there was radar captured of the event, the story quickly fizzled in the media and multiple "debunkings" have been given since.
