"My son-in-law suddenly pointed to the sky and said, 'What the heck is that?'" - UFOs Over Fort Worth Area

June 15th, 2020 Update: I followed up with the witness and asked if these UFOs could have been Chinese lanterns; I sent them a video of what lanterns looked like, as a reference. Here's what they had to say:
I talked your email over with my daughter and son-in-law, and we all agree it wasn't lanterns, for three reasons:
 1.  All of them moved sideways, not upward, and there was very little, if any, wind that night.   And the weird thing was they each followed almost exactly the same trajectory
2.  They were each too large to be lanterns
3.  They moved fast, faster than a regular airplane...those lanterns move slowly, due to the small amount of flame used to propel them

I wish they were lanterns...it makes me feel unsettled that we saw them so clearly and have no explanation!  Yes, hopefully someone else saw them and will reply.  Thanks again!

  • When: May 30th, 2019 between 930 and 10 PM
  • Where: Crowley (Fort Worth area)
  • What: Fast-moving, silent orange lights (possible sighting of Chinese lanterns)

A possible sighting of UFOs over the Fort Worth area has been submitted to Texas UFO Sightings. Although no photos or videos were taking of the event, a detailed testimony was written. I am wondering if this witness may have seen Chinese lanterns, but I am not concluding that just yet, due to the apparently fast speed of these objects and other details in the report. It is possible that lanterns were launched celebration of Memorial Day. As always, check out this case, and let me know what you think!

I have never in my 68 years seen anything in the sky that wasn't explainable (sp), so hoping someone can explain this. My family and I were just sitting outside eating a late dinner. My son-in-law suddenly pointed to the sky and said, "What the heck is that?" At first, we thought it was an airplane. But the object didn't blink and the color remained a constant orange/yellow color...Very bright colors. It was approximately star-shaped and flew much faster than an airplane. And it was totally silent. It flew West and blinked out as We watched. We were discussing it and, approximately 5 -7 minutes later,  another appeared.  Same color and size, absolutely silent. Over the next 20 minutes, a total of five appeared within 5-7 of each other. The third was larger than the others, but still totally silent and appeared to be flying lower and closer. This time, it blinked out shortly after passing us overhead. Each time, the other objects flew West and each blinked out and disappeared in the distance. Did anyone else see these tonight? My son-in-law attempted to video on his phone, but we're having problems uploading...I will upload when we ascertain the problem.
