Savannah L. wrote to TexasUFOs about a UFO sighting from just the other day. She saw five bright objects in the sky, that seemed to be crashing down but in reality were just hovering. One of the lights eventually disappeared. The witness said the craft or lights made no noise, but she could smell smoke in the air:
I saw 5 big sized "fireball looking things" in the sky, one circled in and out of the rest then disappeared! The four remained with smoke trails left behind them! My mom was pulling up as I was gazing at the sky and got out and witnessed the four remaining "fireball looking things" it was something I've never seen before! It looked as if it was coming down but we left while it still remained there! I couldn't hear anything, I did smell a faint smokey smell, like a fire pit smell, nothing felt different, and all I sensed was that it was awesome to see!
What could this craft or set of "fireballs" be? Do you live in Texas? Did you see this as well? Report your sighting!
Hey guys, due to Life, and the mass meteor sightings... TUS is WAYYYYY behind. I prefer to dedicate a post to each sighting so that it gets the attention it deserves. However, it's just not always possible.
Here's a recap of the many sightings that have been in the backlog. Everything from cigar and boomerang-shaped crafts to stars on the move (SUPER common of late!)... here goes:
8/19, West Texas: Is this UFO, filmed falling from the sky, a meteor or a craft with four lights (see photo to the right)?
8/25, Lewisville: Bright star-like object repeatedly shows up over witness' home, but unlike a star, it moves. A few days later... a similar sightings occur... (read on):
YouTuber jrockmk8 normally uploads videos of his RC plane, but his latest video shows something a lot more entertaining: a black object darting across the sky, forcing two Black Hawk helicopters to change directions. The object goes so fast, that you can't even spot it in every frame of the video. In fact, the witness didn't even see the UFO in person. It was only after reviewing his footage that he noticed the helicopters were dodging something and took a closer look.
Here's the video:
And the YouTube description:
Was not visible till I watched the video to see why the heli changed course all the sudden! Sorry not in HD but phone won't send HD video via txt so I don't keep it in HD ugh!!
We've got two pretty astounding UFO reports coming out of the Temple area. One of the reports is detailed, discussing a very clear and - unsettling - sighting of a circular "craft" with big flashing lights and no noise hovering over the witness' neighborhood and then moving westward. She and her husband saw the UFO, and she's confident it's not a plane, a helicopter, or a UAV drone (which she found YouTube videos of for comparison). The other report is vague, but is for the same night in the same small Texas town, though at a slightly different time (the UFO in the first report did eventually move to another location).
Do you live in Copperas Cove? Did you see this UFO? Let me know!
Here's the detailed MUFON report:
Around 10:30pm I went to open the window and when I pulled up the blinds I saw a circular object with flashing lights slowly hovering over homes here in Copperas Cove, TX. At first I thought it was a plane, but Ive lived here since June 2010 and the planes that Ive seen never fly so low, are loud, and never this shape with all those lights flashing in a circular direction. Then I thought it was a helicopter, even though I know helicopters arent circular shaped however the propellers do go in a circular motion, I convinced myself that it could be that, so I listened for the sound and everything was silent. It was so weird. Definitely wasnt a helicopter. So I called my husband to come quick because I wanted him to explain what I was seeing. At this point the object had moved west but my husband was able to observe it before our view would be obstructed by distant homes. After a few seconds of silence, my husband said, "I think that was a UFO." My thought exactly but I didnt say it because I didnt want to sound dumb and/or influence his thoughts. My husband is in the military and assured himself as well as me, that it wasnt flares. He seemed confused. He also noticed that I was feeling nervous and that I kept going back to look out the window so he then said, "Maybe it was a UAV". So I started to second guess myself. I got on the internet researched UAVs and let me tell you, I am more convinced now that we saw a UFO. UAVs are a significantly smaller, do not have all the lights I saw, and not circular (disc) shaped. After reading into UAVs, I googled UFO sightings in Copperas Cove, TX and one other person commented about it, but just said it was scary, and didnt give much information. I would like to know that we arent the only ones that saw this. Hoping other people come forward. Should have recorded it.
And the simpler report, which was eerily or incorrectly categorized as "alien encounter":
Viewing Distance 20 Feet or Less
And a comment on this report, I guess from the other witness we know about, or a separate witness altogether:
Scared me as well. Glad I wasn't the only one. - Lisa
