Close, But No Cigar UFO - What's With These "Halo" UFOs?

  • When: November 2021 (still confirming exact date)
  • Where: Texas (confirming exact location)
  • What: Bright orange ball of light, stationary sky, with a mysterious "halo" glow around it

A very interesting video of a bright orange ball of light, with a halo around it, was uploaded to Tik Tok on November 17th, 2021... but it's new to me, and reminded me of a UFO seen near the NASA Space Center in Houston recently, so I thought I would share.

Another reason this type of UFO is worth highlighting, in my opinion, is it may not be the only one of its kind... a similar-looking "orb" was seen in the latest episode of Skinwalker Ranch on the History Channel, leading to online buzz. Though, in that case, the UFO was described as appearing to have a hole in the middle, or be doughnut or ring-shaped.

Now, I've seen lots of UFO photos and videos like this over the years, case in point:
Picture
When: June 2017 (date still being confirmed) Where: El Paso What: Orb with halo hovering
Picture
When: July 22nd and August 11th Where: Arlington What: Orbs of light with holes in middle, ascending in daytime sky
Picture
When: September 26th, 2021 at 9:45 AM Where: East Bernard (Houston area) What: "Metallic ring-shaped object
Picture
When: January 13th, 2022 between 6:55 and 7:15 PM Where: Webster (specifically, near NASA, two miles west of Nasa Rd 1) What: Shape-shifting UFO orb, described as looking "off white with illuminated sides," seen near NASA

But based on my research, this "halo" effect can be caused by a camera filter, among other lens artifacts:

Now, does this mean all "halo" UFOs are stars? Certainly not... but it is something to consider. Cameras, after all, can distort the image of anything, including a UFO.

As for any UFOs up there that look more "clearly" doughnut or ring-shaped, and also exhibit unusual flight characteristics, we should take a closer look and investigate further. Let me know of any cases like that you'd like me to look into... or if you've ever seen a ring or doughnut-shaped UFO before, that you are sure was not a star.

And in general let me know what you think of this recent Texas UFO sighting, and others like it, in the comments below, or on Facebook or Twitter.
