Star gazers were in for quite the light show on the evening of Wednesday, April 7th, as Space X deployed another "Starlink train" group of satellites. Although people were expected to see it Wednesday night, I received reports from Texans seeing it on Thursday night, too, which leads me to many questions (scroll down to the bottom of the article for those): Map of some "Starlink" UFO Sightings sent to TexasUFOSightings: April 7th at 9:03 pm in Haltom City, Texas: "We looked up after it was pointed out by someone in our group. There was 4 of us. It was gliding in the sky, had no sound. And was glimmering as it went by. It lasted for around 20 seconds and moved slowly over us. It looked 3D but we could only make out the bottom which is where the lights were located. It was long and skinny. It disappeared all of a sudden at the end. It looked like it faded away into nothing" - Anonymous April 7th around 7:30 PM in Plano, Texas: "There were many star like flying objects spotted yesterday while we were taking a walk in our area. They were properly aligned in a line . We almost felt like it was a rocket but spotted a rocket in the dark was very weird. We still cannot figure out what it was. They suddenly disappeared from our sight in a proper synchronization.." -Nichole April 7th at 9:15 PM in Temple, Texas: "My eleven year old daughter and I just saw a similar object in the night sky at about 9:15 in Temple, Texas. It was rectangular in shape, with the right end seen at a downward tilt. It seemed to glisten as the shape drifted from left to right across the sky. It was visible for about 15 seconds and then it slowly began to dissolve until it was no longer visible. It did not look like a solid shape, but rather a cluster of lights that seemed to shimmer as it moved across the sky. It reminded me of how birds fly together in formation." April 8th around 9:05 PM in New Braunfels, Texas: A friend of mine shared with me that her and her daughter "saw the train of lights when we got home from practice and ha NO idea what it was!! Not shooting stars, not a plane, trains don't fly, Harry Potter?, aliens??" Alright, so case closed, right? Well, not exactly. As our own man-made craft become more advanced, from high-tech drones to "Starlink trains," it will become increasingly difficult to distinguish these things from UFO craft. For example, back in 1951, a very similar sight as the "Starlink" train was seen in Lubbock, Texas. Back then, Elon Musk and Space X could not be to blame, so it was easier to conclude "UFO." Now, however, we have so many man-made explanations to choose from. What this means is UFOs have a much easier job at "blending in" than ever before. I would go so far as to say that if I were an alien wanting to visit Earth in my spaceship, I would choose to do it on a night when Space X was deploying satellites! That way I could have an easy cover if I got found out.
Another challenge that "Starlink" and other satellites/rockets gives us is - they are increasingly hard to track. There are so many deployments, so MUCH space junk up there, that you could blame almost any UFO sighting on something man-made. After all, we are just flooding our little corner of the solar system with lights! According to the Natural History Museum website, "While there are about 2,000 active satellites orbiting Earth at the moment, there are also 3,000 dead ones littering space." So, in conclusion, if you see a UFO, and someone tells you saw "Starlink" or a "drone" or something else man-made, don't assume that to be the case!!! Even if it looks like a "Starlink" satellite or drone!!

February 1, 2020 Update: A similar "UFO" may have been seen on December 23rd in Lipon, Texas, north of this sighting. Could the UFOs be related? Original story
A really fascinating account of a star-like object that "suddenly" started falling from the sky and then stopped and turned directions before continuing to fly, has been reported to MUFON (case 105020). According to the witness, another person also saw the same UFO and shared a photo of it on Facebook. Check out the witness' testimony and the purported photo below: round object surrounded by 8 blinking exterior lights What do you think was observed over Texas in late November? Was it a mistaken meteor? There was a "fireball" in Texas reported the same night to AMSMeteors.org, but that event occurred fairly far away in North Texas. Perhaps they were both late arrivals of the November Orionids meteor shower.
Or maybe aliens are visiting... Let me know what you think, as always, in the comments below, or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram! And if you also saw this UFO, help crack this case and report your sighting.
With the recent and amazing news stories about fighter jets causing sonic booms to rattle South Carolina, New Jersey and New York, it might be a good time to reach out to Texans again about what they're hearing in the sky these days.
A few years ago, people all over Texas reported hearing a haunting - and even irritating - humming and/or rumbling sound. Half a year later, strange sounds captivated Texans again, but this time the sounds were higher pitched - more of a trumpeting. People have been reporting strange things they've heard in the sky ever since, though. Read the blog comments below, which detail both booming and humming sounds: I live in temple and have been hearing it for a couple of years. I last for a couple of minutes and stops as quick as it starts. It has to be under ground. They say that there are underground tunnels all over the US, that use supersonic trains. There are even articles of nuclear powered tunnel diggers all rhe way back to the late 50'S. I have thought about it a lot, and cannot imagine what else it could be.
Also, it was just this past month when loud booms and even a light quake was reported in the Corpus Christi area. Was this caused by fighter jets as well?
There have been a few other YouTube videos posted, too, with strange siren-like sounds and deep vibrations. You can see these videos and the news report from Corpus below: Have you heard any mysterious sounds in Texas? Share your story, or your theories!, on the Facebook page. While you were looking down at your iPhone playing Angry Birds, here's what you missed in the Texas sky during the month of April 2014. A boomerang (or V or triangle) shaped craft has been spotted all over the Lone Star State. Meanwhile, a few UFOs left power outages in their wake. Going forward, Texas UFO Sightings will feature a weekly recap of all the latest Texas UFO sightings, including sightings not featured in a big fancy blog spot. However, the site is currently sitting on a ginormous backlog of reports and so we'll unload those onto you gradually with a group of monthly "catch up" posts. Here's the first installment... 4/18 Update: Other UFOs by the moon were also reported on this evening in the Dallas area. A few Texans were up very late on the night of the 15th hoping to watch the Lunar Eclipse and they saw much more than the legendary Blood Moon... UFOs! In Austin and Temple (both in Central Texas), a silent formation of white lights - V and boomerang shaped at times - attempted to steal the spotlight from the gorgeous eclipse. Thomas R kindly submitted testimony from a sighting at East Stassney in Austin: My Roomate and I were watching the blood moon and at about 2:40 am when a series of lights in a very large v shape formation appeared just north of us and moved quickly east before they vanished. The formation did not make any noise. As well, Daniel R of Temple was also gracious enough to share a very detailed testimony of a similar encounter: We set the alarm for 2am to go out and see the lunar eclipse. Walked out the front door at 2:05. About 2:10am my wife said, "what is that". Directly above me standing in the street we saw 4 objects go by, south to north , oblong shape oriented like you would see birds wings in flight. The relative size was about the width of my fingernails at arms length, moving fairly fast. "That is strange, why would birds be flying at night," I said. It was very dark since the moon was fully eclipsed with the typical red faint glow. My wife said, "Birds don't glow in the dark". I then realized we were seeing UFOs. I had my IPHONE out and had taken a picture of the moon which came out faintly, but these were faint enough not to be picked up. Tried several times. My wife though they had a slight boomerang shape. They went from overhead banking to the left west. The angle was at about 10 o'clock then. They reversed position backtracking back to the north also at 10 o'clock, then back west and disappeared. Although they were together, each moved independently, sometimes close together and other times spread out somewhat, not a rigid formation. The total view time was about 20 seconds. We were excited. Still standing there talking about it, they came back again, this time though further away, about 1/4 the diameter of my finger nails at arms length. This time I counted the seconds of appearance, 32 seconds. Again coming from the south, making a circle of 270 degrees at 10 o'clock, disappearing into the west again. Sometimes closely packed, weaving back and forth eventually into a line almost straight spaced by about 3 finger widths between each. We stayed in the street until 2:50am, but no more activity, so went in. I have never seen anything like this except on TV footage. Finished typing this at 4:05am. Have you seen these UFOs recent?
